Mycotoxins are of great economical importance to food industry. In order to be informed on the advances and legislation of these contaminants, there will be a Symposium on mycotoxins in industry that will be presented by specialists of different countries. The Latinamerican Society of Mycotoxicology (SLAM), Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), the International Life Science Institute (ILSI) and the National Chamber of the Manufacturating Industry (CANACINTRA) invites all the scientists and industries related with foods, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and of chemical analysis to participate with oral presentations, posters or with a booth in the Technological Exposition, in subjects related with the following Mycotoxin Sections:
  1. Cereals and their derived products.
  2. Milk, dairy products, meats and egg.
  3. Oil seeds and derivates.
  4. Species, condiments, hot peppers and dry fruits.
  5. Beverages (juices and alcohols).
  6. Agricultural crops, livestock and man.
  7. Qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  8. Control .
  9. Legislation for exportation and importation.
  10. Risk analysis and control measures.
  11. Other subjects.

The I Panamerican Symposium on Mycotoxin in the Industry will take place from April 1-4, 2003 at Canacintra.
Registration
The registration fee will be received in the Symposium Secretariat (Sonia T. De Penkoff) and the deadline is January 15th, 2003. Afterwards, there will be an increase of 10% in the price. The fee for individuals is 400 USD; for a commercial booth in the Technological Exposition is 800 USD. This price will include the 4 lunch meals on site, the participation in this event, Cocktail Welcome party, and the electronic proceedings.
