Letheen Agar (Modified)

Letheen agar (Difco or BBL) 32 g
Trypticase peptone 5 g
Thiotone peptone 10 g
Yeast extract 2 g
NaCl 5 g
Sodium bisulfite 0.1 g
Agar 5 g
Distilled water 1 liter

 

 

Heat with agitation to dissolve agar. Autoclave 15 min at 121°C. Aseptically dispense 20 ml into 15 x 100 mm petri dishes. Final pH, 7.2 ± 0.2.
