Sodium thioglycollate 1.5 g
Na2HPO4 1.1 g
NaCl 5 g
Agar 5 g
CaCl2 (1% solution) 9 ml
Distilled water 991 ml

 

Heat with agitation to dissolve dry ingredients. Cool to 50°C and add CaCl2.Adjust pH to 8.4. Dispense 7 ml portions into 9 ml screw-cap tubes and immediately steam exactly 15 min. Cool, and tighten caps.
