The Honeywell DR4500A Truline HTST, STLR and Pasteurization Flow Circular Chart Recorder/Controller has been reviewed and found to comply with the applicable provisions of the Grade "A" Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) when used both as a Pasteurization and Flow Recorder/Controller.

Compliance with the PMO is based upon construction, installation and operation, as described in the Manufacturer's Manual, (Doc No. 44-45-25-30) DR 4500A Truline Circular Chart Recorder Product Manual and Addendum (#44-45-99-08), revised on 3/2004 and the following provisions:

1. The recorder/controller shall be installed in compliance with the criteria of Appendix H. Pasteurization Equipment and procedures of the PMO. Included in the Truline DR 4500AP Series ERC for use as a Flow Recorder/Controller, is the Loss (Low Flow) of Signal and High Flow Alarm and the 15 or 25 second Legal Flow Delay Relay. The 10 minute CIP Time Delay Relay is externally mounted in an enclosure, under regulatory seal, or located in the Flow Diversion Device panel. The control element signal output is 4 to 20 mA. A signal can be used directly to control an AC variable speed drive for the centrifugal pump or converted to 20.7 to103 kPa (3 to15 psig) for the throttling valve.
2. This recorder-controller shall not contain a communications option.
3. Upon installation, the configured values for Loss (Low Flow) of Signal and High Flow Alarm settings, 15 or 25 second Legal Flow Delay Relay, the chart and pen parameters, and the EPROM identification number will be placed on a document and maintained at the plant, so that the operator and/or Regulatory Agency can verify these values. The Regulatory Agency should maintain a copy for their files. After the configuration values have been verified, access to the recorder/controller shall be restricted by the application of a regulatory seal through the drilled cover bolt provided on the chart plate.
4. When installed, the Recorder/Controller shall comply with the applicable test requirements in Appendix I., 11.2A-E magnetic flow meter based timing systems continuous flow-holding time of the PMO.

The technical information that was reviewed constitutes the Honeywell DR4500A Truline Series HTST, STLR and Pasteurization Flow Circular Chart Recorder/Controller Engineering Design Technical and Construction file (EDTCF).
