There was NO foodborne illness risk factor for which the IN Compliance percentage for establishments without a Certified Food Protection Manager exceeded the percentage for establishments with a Certified Food Protection Manager in a statistically significant manner.

It is important to note, however, that though we are seeing some positive impacts the presence of a Certified Food Protection Manager has on the control of certain risk factors, we are not saying that those positive impacts are strictly due to the presence of a Certified Manager. There could be other things happening within the operation, such as the implementation of a comprehensive food safety employee training program or an effective food safety management system that may be contributing to the increase control of the risk factors as well,
