Inoculation method
- find location on package of minimum sterilizing capacity
- application of inoculum must be appropriate for sterilization system (spray vs. spot inoculation)
- may need to challenge outside of package
- for radiation sterilization, traceable dosimetry can be used
- recovery method needs to account for all remaining surviving organisms
- recovery of inoculum around fitments may be a problem
